I'm a Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley, where I do research on cloud computing, parallel computing, and online education. I teach various undergraduate and graduate courses including Software Engineering (part of which is now offered as a MOOC at saas-class.org). I'm also a musical theater director and pit performer and for several years was the steward of a keel-billed toucan. She's no longer with us, but she serves as my avatar because she's better looking than me. If I had more free time, I'd spend it at StackOverflow.
