Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major! Mathematics are magic and mysticism explained!

Before Copernicus, people took it personally when something occurred in the heavens, and cultures across the world saw comets as purveyors of doom. There were "prophets" everywhere who would declare vague times that certain comets would appear and what doom they foretold. Then came Edmond Halley, who used the power of mathematics to take his place as the first accurate prophet of comets! He declared the exact time the comet would appear, the direction of the sky it would appear from, how long it would be visible, and that it would return every 76 years. Halley's comet is an amazing example of the power of mathematics.
