I am fascinated by all of the different and unique data being generated and collected in the world. I use data to answer all of the questions of my own life, from building diet plans from macronutrient data, spending way too much time building automated solutions for managing budget and savings, to figuring out which group of baseball and football players will make me the most money year after year.

I have learned that my unique compulsion to be organized, both personally and professionally, is a gift to be appreciated. The abundance of data at our fingertips in today's world endlessly satisfies my drive to organize and make sense of really anything and everything. Time is the only hurdle. Ultimately, I strive to use data in ways that will have a positive impact on the world and the people in it.

Currently I work with the Research Metrics team at Elsevier. This team has built a system to gather data about all types of research happening across the world. Our mission is to lead the way in advancing science, technology, and health and I have the data at my fingertips to contribute to that cause. Each day I am using data from hundreds of millions of pieces of research to help improve how it is measured. Measuring research data can have an immediate impact on the lives of the researcher, the institution that they represent, and the advancement of the science/tech/health topic that is being presented.
