Hello. I'm a Brazilian Junior Web Developer currently based on Earth in Montreal, Canada, where I went to college for a programmer-analyst degree and where I currently work Barcelona, Spain, where I'm living life (freelancing for remote clients abroad, climbing and going out to awesome places with awesome people). My intention is to work remotely (but you never know where you'll find love).
I used mostly .NET technologies on my last job and during my internship I worked on an Oracle/Java environment. Javascript (mostly jQuery) is also a technology I use on a very regular basis.
I have developed RESTful APIs in both C# (.NET MVC) and Java (stack Grizzly, Jersey, Maven, Shiro, JDBC, etc) and I'm currently studying PHP frameworks (Symfony and Laravel). I enjoy all of them and, even if I realize I'm still a junior developer, I believe I will be advancing really fast, because I can't go one day without coding.
As far as front-end goes, I have worked with HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, D3.js (for visualization in a project at work that consumed data from a RESTful API I developed in .NET), Bootstrap (very basic). I intend to learn the MEAN stack next.
I have worked with some basic Stored Procedures in MSSQL, but databases are not my main interest at the moment. I want to improve my PHP (Symfony, Laravel, Slim, WordPress) skills and properly learn the MERN stack.
Web development is my passion and I'm always trying to improve. I find it fun and easy to learn because it's really something I love. I went to Law School in Brazil and worked in the industry for about 2 years. Things where starting to get better but I could not let go the idea of becoming a web developer, which I had my first contact with in 2007, when I started a second university program. I'm a quick learner, I'm curious, it pleases me to learn and also I'm a very easy going person. I like new challenges, but I'm also down to Earth on what I can or cannot do.
