Educated in: Mathematics, Software Engineering and bringing up children. Reasonably successful in two out of three, anyway.

Worked for: IBM (Systems Developer and Master Inventor), Springsource (Staff Software Engineer), VMWare, Pivotal, SkipJaq (Distinguished Engineer) and Skyscanner (Principal Engineer). Retired (exhausted) in 2019. Now Grumpy Old Man (GOM). Currently teaching Abstract Algebra at University of Winchester, and recently Directed and acted in local Pantomime. Still exhausted.

My interests are: early 20th c. detective fiction; West Gallery Music (tenor); amateur barbershop (lead/bari); recreational mathematics, esp. number theory; walking; cycling (some); Chopin.
