In my early life I attempted to learn VB (pre-.NET) while working for a company that made a very nice database application using Btrieve (which I guess they now call Pervasive.SQL). That lasted only a few months, but I had been a BASIC/QBASIC geek in the latter part of elementary school through high school and even briefly dabbled in Pascal. Then I left all that behind for a short-lived career as a radio personality.

Since then, I've done many other things and forgotten much of how to code anything. Finally downloaded Visual Studio and started fooling around again and watching tutorials for C#.

My "day job" is in healthcare as a consultant providing training/support services to system end-users of electronic medical records. (Doesn't that sound fun?) My job loosely involves IT, and understanding programming fundamentals has helped me "think like the system" but hasn't done a thing for my ability to write code. (Pity, right?)

I'm still learning, and from my posts here you'll quickly gather that I have "ideas above my station" about what I'd like to accomplish with it all.

Thank you for bearing with me and helping me to grow.
