Master degree in Genetics, when I've worked with population genetics, ecological niche modeling (ENM), coalescent simulation and approximate bayesian computation (ABC). During my masters I came in contact with R, which I used to perform most of my analysis, or manipulate my data. Because of the growing field of genetics and the availability of data, my attention was drawn to "Big Data" problems, which became another of my interest in programming.

Currently I've been learning more about machine learning, statistical learning and web-scraping to improve my CV, so I can get more involved in the field of Big Data and programming. Maybe do a PhD, maybe get a Job working with Big Data.
