I'm 19, mostly a self taught dev. started learning programming via school at 16. been picking it up slowly and surely since then. I'm about to start UNI after getting released from the idf. I'm more interested in the theoretical side of things, but I can also put up with practicalities. as for programming, I still call myself a beginner. despite, and maybe because, of the fact that this profile is two year old. the more I learn, and the more I explore, it doesn't feel like it's nearly enough. I have so many things in mind, that I might call myself an endless beginner, even after I become good (comparable to others). I also didn't make as much progress as I make nowdays - after getting a temp job, leaving the military, finishing highschool, and just, generally, getting familiarized with life.

the current subjects I do look into are: artificial intelligence - (I'm reading the 'artificial intelligence - a modern approach', reading the source code to familiarize myself with practicalities, and I also look into python libraries for applying such concepts)

os development - I'm looking into this because I have a few projects in mind that could use such knowledge - creating an os from scratch, using the low level components of the computer directly. it interests me. I read a (something like) 100 page article about getting started, and am looking into the os-dev's site whenever I have time.

I have more than a few projects in mind. included are: getting familiarized with the linux\unix kernel and viewing+customizing source code. data visualization and big data processing. I already kinda know SQL, but I would really like to do stuff such as - creating a web crawler ('info scrapper'). it could do all kind of neat stuff... such as grab personal info from all known websites, gathering them, using ai to find out more - optimized social engineering I call it.

there are more, most of them include looking into, and editing, source code. as well as creating tools for automating my work process. I believe that computer development should focus mainly on automating that very same development. well, at least for me, an individual. that is the only way I can ever hope to develop something great on my own. automated trading is my main goal of making money. I think it's a pot of gold for someone who starts developing new+efficient+revolutionary ai

but before I get started with all of that stuff, I need to become a better programmer. currently, I suck (by my standards). so, I'm mainly reading python libraries documentation, using them, creating functions, debugging etc. I'm not looking for a job, neither would I accept such requests at the moment, as I need to gather more experience before I can promise anything to any employers. If, however, you do require my services for whatever reason, I would listen to your request.
