My research seeks to understand the structure, determinants, and course of psychopathology and competence from infancy through adolescence. I have a core substantive interest in the legacy of early social experiences and the mechanisms and processes that bring them to bear on adolescent health. A key feature of my work is the novel and creative use of measurement science and longitudinal methods to address classic and emerging questions in human development.
