I've stopped trying to contribute.

The hurdle "50 reputation required to comment" is perhaps useful to those looking to use this like some sort of Facebook - but as a 20 year veteran career professional I use it like a professional resource.

It's simply frustrating and discouraging. And so here's the result of being discouraged - non-participating experienced professionals. So I'll use it as a resource and not be able to give back.
