I'm a retired software engineer. I've programmed video games (worked a little on Marble Madness,) and other 3D graphics apps. I've published mathematical algorithms in computer animation and ray-tracing.
My technical publications are at:
- (I'm also in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounding_sphere)
- With my wife, Barrie, I co-authored "Life Histories of Serial Murderers:" www.homicideresearchworkinggroup.org/proceedings_2001.pdf (published by The Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI.) But that's her bag.
Lately, I've been developing what I call RIVA (Resolution Independent Vector Art.) It's C++ code that parses a description of a "potentially aesthetic" image, and turns it into HP/GL-2 code, which I can print w/ my 42" HP 800 plotter.
I also write comedy, flash fiction and poetry. See: www.houseofwords.com.
