Began a career in data in 2012. I have worked over the years in a few ETL and systems roles. Have extensive experience with Azure, but always open to other platforms. I'm a guy who prefers to be hands-on, often leading through example. Learning new things, encountering new & challenging problems are just examples of what energize me.

Main achievements include:

1. Migrated and managed 50 TB data platform on Azure. Utilized Data Lake Gen2, Synapse Pools and Analysis Services cubes.
2. Led several POCs around technologies, including Snowflake, Talend and Databricks.
3. Led replatforming of item #1 off of HDInsight and onto Databricks.

Overall, I'm proud of these accomplishments as they were in an ecosystem of no knowledge transfer or documentation walking into them. I had to teach myself the codebase and work cross-functionally with others in order to gleam more understanding into why things may have been done a certain way. It was challenging and took time, but ultimately allowed me to shine as a SME on the platform.
