I was a senior software developer in the Unix/c ecosystem back in the day when vi and gmake were the backbone of your development environment — my master's project was related to exploring a budding field of study called hypertext :D. After eleven years in software development, I took a fifteen-year side-trip to stay home with my four boys. During that time, I also homeschooled, helped my husband launch a business, and did contract project management work. In 2016, when the last of our boys entered high school, I went back into software development, but this time in .NET/C#, and I am thoroughly loving developing software again.
