I am a Computer Science enthusiast, currently working as a Software Engineering Intern at 23andMe Inc in the areas of predictive analysis Spark, HBase, Phoenix, Python .

I have worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Commvault Systems and MapR Technologies, where I worked on areas like Recommendation Engines, Security, Deep learning. I learned a lot by solving challenging problems and collaborating with great teams and engineers.

Prior to that I worked with TCS for 4.5 years in the areas of Data Warehousing, Databases, BI, ETL. I have a strong exposure in insurance domain and technologies like Ab Initio, IBM DB2, shell scripting etc. I have led teams both at offshore and onsite and worked on projects from inception to delivery and post production support and have been involved in all stages of the SDLC.

These experiences have taught skills such as Collaboration, Requirement Analysis, Design and Development of enterprise software by leveraging both proprietary and open source technologies and Team Building.

As I am passionate about Machine Learning, Big Data and its applications across domains I decided to pursue M.S. in Computer Science and I have took coursework like Big Data Analytics, Python for Data Science, Information Retrieval Systems, Machine Learning for Malware Analysis. Having worked in the industry for 5 years has given me exposure to and helped me gain a solid understanding about Data Engineering, Data Mining, Data analytics, I would like to continue to work in this domain.
