Personal likes: open source development, design patterns, object-oriented programming, visualization; chemoinformatics, bioinformatics; linux, LaTeX, python, C++

Personal dislikes: Microsoft Corporation and their politics (though I admit that many very talented individuals are employed at Microsoft Research), Apple Computer's eccentricity, hardware vendors that claim only Windows compatibility, socially induced pressures or artificial reasons for over-constraint of thought or usage patterns.
