Hey! My name is Edward Hazell, I’m a highly motivated individual with a love for the outdoors, traveling, learning, experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, snowboarding, programming, and so so much more.

Over the past six years I’ve continued to enhance and refine my expertise in Software Development and Engineering, both in the office and at home. Software Engineering isn’t just a position for me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy performing and learning more about whenever I can. I personally feel that having the capability to provide information and data in new ways to businesses and individuals is an incredible opportunity and I eagerly look forward for more and new opportunities to learn.

At my most recent position I worked Fully Remote as a Front End Software Engineer, working in an Agile based team developing the companies new ophthalmic system. The team utilized the following technologies: Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, SASS, and CSS and quite a few others, see my skills below for more examples.

As a team we pushed the development boundaries by providing ophthalmologists with the opportunity to visibly see and interact with their exam data in a way that has not been built before. Ensuring appropriate application state management with RxJS and the Observer method, this allowed the team and I to singularly reload specific components based on application selections, view, or layout changes.

The application was an overall Responsive, web-based system, with multiple screens and the capability of loading between 512+ images on load! But there’s so much more I can tell you in person, so reach out, I’m looking forward to what new opportunities we may be able to tackle together.
