I teach technical writing courses at Austin Community College. Specifically, Drupal, MadCap Flare, XHTML/CSS, DITA, Oxygen. Used to teach RoboHelp and FrameMaker, but Adobe got chinchy and enrollments died down anyway. (Never figured out why.)

I do not have a deep-running technical background, having been an English then Comparative Literature major in college. But stating in the 1990s, I learned enough Perl to create learning apps for my students.

Currently trying to learn technical writer-level APIs and GitHub.
