I started my programming career at PolyMorphic Systems writing assembly language on the 8080 for an OS before the PC and Apple II. I have written an assembler, various device drivers, a storage manager and parallel I/O disk layer for an RDBMS-on-a-chip at KickFire inside MYSQL and Postgres, several text editors, several GUI apps, real-time systems, several concurrent and parallel multi-core Java Maps (AirConcurrentMap at boilerbay.com) and a concurrent embedded DBMS (InfinityDB at boilerbay.com).

I like Java, Threading, C++, pthreads, concurrency, parallelism, fast disk I/O systems, and experimenting with the Java JIT's native code optimizer. I don't do Perl, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, JEE, or web development.
