Sean Pearce is a SQL Server consultant with a background in application development. Sean started his career in 1996 as a Visual Basic developer. During his early years, his Microsoft application development exposed him to SQL Server starting with version 6.5.
By the time SQL Server 2000 had been released, Sean found a database mentor from a Teradata background and never looked back. Hanging up his VB boots and stepping into a SQL Server focused role, Sean took to SQL Server like a duck to water.
His thorough understanding of the architecture and processes driving SQL Server allows him to focus on performance tuning and problem solving for clients. He also writes some mean SQL.
In his spare time Sean is actively involved in the SQL Server community. He has spoken at PASS SQL Saturday and presents regularly to the Johannesburg SQL Server User Group.
