Sr Director of Spring R&D - VMware

Michael Minella is a software engineer, speaker, and author with over 20 years of enterprise development experience. He currently works for VMware as Sr. Director of Spring Engineering responsible for the OSS Spring team. Michael has spoken on a number of Java, Spring, and big data topics, is a JavaOne Rockstar, and is a Java Champion. Michael was a member of the expert group for JSR-352 (java batch processing). Michael is the author of The Definitive Guide to Spring Batch and Pro Spring Batch from Apress as well as the popular Refcard JUnit and EasyMock.

Outside of the daily grind, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys woodworking, photography and InfoSec hobbies.
