I have been involved with computers since I was a toddler, and started my first personal programming projects around the age of 14. I've always been very interested in knowing how things work, and been taking them apart for as long as I can remember for exactly that purpose.
As soon as I got interested in programming, I started hacking. Trying to find vulnerabilities in operating systems and web applications alike. I have a wide range of programming languages that I write in, but professionally been much more involved with web applications, and specialize in those areas.
I've done many projects, for many different companies. Improving security, speeding up web sites, designing new solutions and setting up and managing servers to name a few.
Currently I am employed at TravelShift and Guide to Iceland, where I am the lead developer. Some of my responsibilities there include assisting the CTO in managing and maintaining servers, monitoring logs, improving scalability, delegating to the rest of the team and improve any processes wherever possible. Most of my time though goes into designing new features that improve our marketplace software, some of which are revolutionizing the travel market in Iceland.
