I started coding simple VBA macros in Excel, which then came to include SQL queries, and now I'm developing a full PHP-based project myself. Everything I've learned about computers has been on the job, as an aside to my main job of environmental project manager. I love the experience of visualizing what I want the software to do and figuring out the logic to make all the numbers work consistently and accurately. It's been a fascinating and sometimes frustrating experience and stackoverflow has already proven a valuable resource many times.

I don't feel I have nearly enough knowledge to answer questions from other users, but as I learn more I hope to be able to help out others just as I have been helped out so many times.
