I seem to of developed a habit of being involved with large science infrastructure projects such as CERN(http://www.cern.ch), and the SKA radio telescope (http://skatelescope.org). This means lots of hands on HPC coding, designing, building and deploying state of the art systems (including devops), as well as a fair bit of cat herding (https://youtu.be/Pk7yqlTMvp8).

But I'm also happy playing with low level code, controlling electronics, writing drivers etc. Really whatever it takes to make a great product, preferably with as much hands on as possible. Best of all is when I get to work and learn from great engineers in the process.
