Spent most of my life in the software industry without learning a single thing. Been told that is a pre-requisite for upper management so I am all set! :-)
At an advanced age, decided to go back to school and get degrees in the things I had been screwing up my whole life. Though I worked mostly in business apps and middle management, my research topic was in the realm of cyber-security of industrial control systems. Since I know very little about either of those things, I think I am a typical academic researcher. Hopefully, I will figure something out sooner or later. Hopefully, I will do more good than harm.
I make mistakes all the time, I think I know something and find out later I really didn't understand the entire concept, I give well-meaning advice that may only be mostly right, and am a typical basic human being. Use my answers with care. You may, and likely do know more than I do. Use your own judgement.
