Since I could punch keys on a keyboard I have been writing software. From Basic, to QBasic, through Visual Basic 4.0 - 2005, and now PHP; software has been a real passion for me. (See my portfolio on GitHub)

Since this journey has been largely a solitary one, the next step for me is to network (through groups like the Minnesota PHP User's Group) and improve my collaboration skills. Currently I am taking the fruits of so many years work, and building an open-source library on github, to better my adherence to convention and practice working collaboratively in a distributed environment.

During this transitional phase of my life, I assist adults with developmental disabilities. The work is very fulfilling, and I love knowing that my actions provide these individuals with options in living their lives as fully as they desire. My unique perspective, as someone who struggles with Asperger's Syndrome, provides me with a deeper understanding in how some of these individuals see the world, and how I can help.

Whether it's walking from Kansas City, MO to Washington, DC; owning a company for 10 years; moving into a cargo van converted into an RV; or learning to juggle, unicycle and the flow art of fire poi with The Minnesota Neverthriving; when I put my mind to something, there is no telling where the next adventure will take me!
