I have a PhD in Computer Science applied to Systems Biology. After I finished my PhD, I continued my research career with a 2 years postdoc. I have published several research papers in peer-reviewed international magazines and conferences. Also, during my research I have collaborated with research groups from Argentina, France, Germany, England, and Chile.

I have been working for more than 10 years with Python either for my research or at the industry. During that time I have made various open-source contributions (see: https://github.com/svidela). I have worked using web frameworks like Flask, Zope, Django, Plone, Grok, or Pyramid and libraries like Celery, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Networkx, Matplotlib, and Pytest.

I have experience using various kinds of databases like PostgreSQL, Redis and Neo4j. Also, I have experience working with Docker containers and Git. Finally, I really love Python but I must say that I have also worked using other languages like Javascript, C/C++ or PHP.
