career highlight: wrote a PowerBuilder object so a desktop could log in to a Honeywell/Bull mainframe and capture the output from COBOL programs. (PowerBuilder Technical Support had never heard of a Honeywell/Bull mainframe.) This entailed talking very politely to a data PBX, a concentrator, and another box before logging in to the Honeywell.
