I am an enthusiastic and hard-working Data Engineer and Analyst with 2 years and 8 months of work experience as a Developer and currently working as a Data Engineer at Anthem, Inc.

My work experience has included both the technical side of programming and the functional side of banking and finance, a result of my client being one of the premier banks in India. From the beginning of my MS in Georgia State University, I have successfully learned many Big Data programming languages like R, Python, SAS and Scala; Big Data Tools like Apache Hive, Impala and Spark; Database technologies like MySQL and MongoDB; and Data Visualization tools like Tableau.

As a result of my knowledge in a wide variety of Big Data and Analytical tools, I applied for and received the role of Data Engineer at Anthem Inc. Anthem is still in the process of implementing a Big Data Environment for their healthcare data and I am proud to be a part of their team.

I am proud of my attention to detail and as a result of my experiences with my former company, have been able to develop skills not normally associated with the more traditional programmer role, including remittance systems, fund transfer systems and internet banking system used in banks and building of data pipelines in a big data environment. I enjoy working with a wide variety of people and am a multitasker, diligent self-starter, and eager team player.

I am a strong believer in the use of technology to solve the problems of business and have always felt that programmers and techies should not only focus on the technical aspects of their company but the business aspects as well.
