Math major with a focus on AI. Been writing code for 30 years. I spend most of my time these days writing JavaScript code to bring a product to life with Angular, Node.js, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis and ElasticSearch as the core elements of the stack - running on a private cloud we've implemented with Ubuntu Server, MAAS and using Juju automation for deployment on bare metal, containers and VMs.

A Linux-based Open Source ecosystem has been my primary dev platform for 4 years now. I've worked extensively before that at Microsoft with .NET (C#), ASP.NET, Web Services / SOAP / WCF and other Windows platform components as well as C/C++, Perl and Java across a few different platforms (Solaris, Windows Server, Linux) when I was at Wall St and other jobs. I've also written and released an iOS app using Objective-C / Core Data / SQLite. Love my Macs but my home desktop rig has been primarily Ubuntu Linux for years.

Other interests: Am a gamer, musician and photographer in my spare time.

My newest technology interests are: Electron, React / React Native, Ionic, Vue.js, D3.
