I’m a full-stack web engineer with 6+ years of experience currently residing in Chihuahua, Mexico. I have a Computer Information Systems degree from the University of Texas at El Paso where I graduated with honors in 2012.

I specialize in creating highly performant, lightweight and scalable web applications using the latest and greatest in frontend technology, as well as leveraging modern web development paradigms such as Isomorphic Javascript, Mobile First, Progressive Web Apps and Serverless.

I have comprehensive knowledge and experience using the React library to create Web User Interfaces and reusable Component Libraries, as well as of React's surrounding ecosystem of tools (i.e. Redux, GraphQL, Apollo, Styled Components, CSS Modules, etc).

I’m very well versed in the latest versions of Javascript (ES6, ES7, etc), Javascript supersets such as Typescript and Flow, CSS preprocessors such as Sass and Less, as well as in setting up effective bundling and transpiling pipelines using Webpack and Babel.

When it comes to server-side development, I try to use Node.js as much as possible. However, I also live by the premise that a good developer should always use the best tool for the job, and being well aware of the limitations of using Javascript on the server, I’ve also become very familiar with a variety of other MVC frameworks such as Django, Flask, Laravel, Phoenix and Ruby on Rails, as well as the corresponding languages these are written on (i.e. Python, PHP, Elixir, Ruby, etc ) In the same way, I also have a very good working knowledge of traditional CMSs such as Wordpress, as well as of more modern Headless CMSs such as Contentful.
