Currently an "IT Specialist" working at the United States Military Academy at West Point. When I got here, more than several years ago, they were literally hand jamming spreadsheets, and printing out fill-able paper surveys for data collection and analysis. While being a lifelong Windows Systems Administrator(20 years), I had enough coding knowledge to do a bit better for them, and now that's all I do here. This is my first foray into government contracting. Before 2010 I had worked IT in energy, film and television production, and banking. I started coding for them, and just really loved the work. There is much to do.
Self-taught, end ever learning, enthusiastic student/practitioner of C#, .net, python, django, javascript, ajax, SQL...Currently pursuing my AWS certifications.
Proud husband of a wife, and father of a son and daughter.
In my spare time, I write short stories, screenplays, and edit other people's films(Vegas/Adobe Premier). One day I'll actually film my own. Love punk and classic rock music. Loved my '12 VW GTI until a distracted fool crashed into me and totaled it(last Friday). Still play ice hockey occasionally(read rarely). And the capital of Nebraska is Lincoln.
