I have a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Animal Breeding and Genetics with emphasis in quantitative analyses, as well as in economic weights and selection indices. Over the last few years, I have been working with genome-enabled prediction methods, as well as with genome-wide association studies. More recently, I have been also working with causal inference and structural equation modeling applied to economically important traits in beef and dairy cattle. Additionally to conducting research on the topics aforementioned, I feel capable of handling statistical analyses involving very large data sets, performing research on general statistics and bioinformatics, as well as managing field activities.
