I'm a full stack developer who currently spends most of his time being a data scientist using Python (pandas etc) and R and building ML models with Tensorflow (Keras) that run on both CPUs and GPUs on GCE.

At Sea Level Research we run Postgres (SQL) on Heroku with a Redis cache, and an API (Django) connecting to a ReactJS front end.

Our data collectors (including Scrapy) run on AWS connecting to a variety of sensors and other data sources. We process numerical model data with Lambdas and model ship movements in Neo4J. I am implementing a Kafka/Spark pipeline to move the data processing to the next level.

We are agile, keeping our code in Git and running sprints with Trello (or Pivotal Tracker).

I love functional languages (particularly LISP, Scheme and Clojure but also Scala) and ran the Liverpool Clojure Meetup. I am experimenting with Go for Tensorflow models and have previous experience with a number of different languages including Node.js, Ruby, Java, C, and even Matlab and FORTRAN.
