I've been learning and practicing coding since November 2016.
I threw myself into Python because that was the first thing that came up on google. I got onto this great website and got a handle on some of the key computer programming concepts:
Then I tried HTML/JavaScript/CSS/XML. I was limited by my computer (2009 model Dell) and my internet connection (I was living in remote/rural Australia). But I could learn pretty effectively using this great website:
Then I tried my hand at building android apps because I didn't have a macbook (but I did have an iPhone). I followed the tutorials on:
Sometime after this was the point where I felt like I had the tools/mindset to persist with this hobby. I went out and invested in a macbook and started learning to make iPhone apps. I've got a whole heap of app ideas that I'm working on. Each one requires new skills, so I'm constantly improving. And I'm still really enjoying the learning process.
