Hi there, my name's Przemek and I'm from Poland. I've coded occasionaly since 2013 in different languages, started with C++, then went into Java, and then some C#, mostly because it was required at my university. In 2015 I've realized I'm getting older each year, and I should focus on one topic and start making some real progress. I've chosen web development- mostly because you could write code in the simplest notepad, and then upload it on some free hosting service and you could have it all up and runing, and show it to your friends. Unlike C++ applications, or Java, or C#, where user had to download your application, just to find out that his/her antivirus prevents its execution. All these problems were gone in web development.

So I dived into web technologies. I started with html, making simple pages, then learned some css, then attempted to make simple game (which is not available online anymore), where you had to click different links to keep story going based on your actions (like The Game on polish nonsensopedia available here. Then I learned some simple javascript, and then PHP- this is what I'm feeling best at currently. Then of course databases (MySQL in my case), then some JQuery, then some Bootstrap. I tinkered around with different things, I started completing different free courses available online, and I've spent a lot of time on stackoverflow, looking for answers to my problems. Then in June 2016 I've had an idea- I know some things, why not try to make something big? A big project would definitely help in developing my skills. So I came with an idea to make a text-based browser MMORPG game called Far Lands. And boy, I have to say- I've learnt so much thanks to this project. And became a little obsessed too, now instead of playing my favorite games, I prefer to read some tutorials on things related to web development, haha! Obviously I didn't get any teamwork skills, as I'm working on this alone, but still it's an invaluable experience. There are so many things you didn't even think about before trying to code something, and the only way to experience it all is just to get started!

Don't be afraid to ask questions, there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

And don't give up!
