In my career, I have written business-specific software for companies that I have worked for.

Started out many years ago using a free version of BASIC, then switched to Visual Basic, and in recent years have been converting my apps to C#.Net.

I do not work in collaboration with others, and I'm allergic to reading manuals. Other than a few PASCAL classes in college, I am self-trained as a programmer.
