I am a well-rounded individual with a background in both business and data science. I graduated in February 2018 from the Galvanize Data Science Immersive in Denver. That's a 12-week, full-time program on machine learning and artificial intelligence, including python, statistics, probability, regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, neural networks, natural language processing, big data, and other technologies. My capstone project was "Classifying Mountains Using Neural Networks". I passed the exam 70-461 "Querying Microsoft SQL Server", and I also completed the User Experience Design Class at General Assembly.

I have an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School. After that I worked on Wall Street as a research analyst covering bank debt and bonds on both the sell side and the buy side. I then moved to Denver to write software for financial analysis/trading. With my analytical and computer science background, I decided to become a data scientist.

For fun, I'm an outdoors guy. I like to hike, road bike, snow shoe, ski, and otherwise enjoy the company of others in the great Rocky Mountains. I founded and led for many years the popular After Work Hiking Plus! Meetup in the Denver area, which at its peak had over 5000 members.
