Classical immunologist by training. Wanting to move more towards data analysis of big data sets since I found it's a lot of fun to do; these data sets are more and more common in not only my own field, but so many other fields, too; and I like to do and understand things myself instead of having other people do it for me and hand me the ready-made results.

Putting in work- and spare-time to do a 10-months online course on data analysis, mostly in R. Until now, although it's not easy, it's been lots of fun playing around with code and data. And Stack Overflow has certainly helped me time and again to wrap my head around certain things while coding. Therefore, creating an account and trying to contribute to it seemed like the way to go.
