My current field of research is Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. I'm currently studying the nonlinear optical properties of two-dimensional disordered materials. Where does programming come in? Well, closed analytical results are but a hopeless dream in Theoretical Physics. Most of the times, you'll need a computer to do the computations for you. Unlike me, they do not complain when they have to do extensive calculations.
