I have been in the information technology field for over 20 years. Most of my experience has been with systems engineering and architecture. Recently, I have decided to pick up programming and have gravitated towards learning Java.

I think as the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence becomes more prevalent, the need for skilled programmers is going to remain strong for quite some time.
