I am a curious guy who likes to question "established" procedures as well as to respect organically grown knowledge. I can deal with legacy systems or develop something brand new on the green grass. My knowledge is very broad, I started with programming the original IBM PC 1983 with the integrated ROM Basic, studied computer science (2 yrs) at ETH and then 5 yrs business IT at University of Zurich with master diploma. Meanwhile I have gained lots of experience on various projects in less than a handful of small and big companies. As a team player I am able to close the gap between theory and practical appliance. My motto is "embrace change" and as a software engineer and architect I value the beauty of clean code and architecture as well as the speed of well informed pragmatic decisions when deviating from the path in the lecture book. My goals for the future are to remain a lifelong learner, feel and live the pulse of modern IT and gain a better work life balance. The latter can be achieved by an outstanding holiday package (6 weeks of holiday) or and outstanding salary (>= 125k, which allows me to work 80%). I also love to teach and share my knowledge with other people as well as learning from them.
