As a beginner, I learned Java. Learning a statically typed language was frustrating at first, but it laid a wonderful foundation for a deep understanding of the intricacies of Object Oriented Programming. After becoming somewhat proficient in Java, I learned Ruby. The word "Learned" is an overstatement since there is always something new to learn in the field of computer science and software engineering which is precisely why I find these topics so intriguing.
