I am a software architect and senior technical R&D manager at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) in Thessaloniki, Greece. As a software engineer and architect, I have been working for many years in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a technical manager, I have undertaken all tasks related to the execution of large-scale IT projects (e.g., identifying business needs and collaborating with stakeholders), while at the same time I have the privilege to guide fellow engineers and scientists through challenging engineering and research projects. Moreover, I have conducted research in the intersection of three scientific fields: big data analytics, time series forecasting and high performance computing.
