I'm Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Manager at the Institute for Genetics and Molecular Medicine.

I'm responsible for:

• sample handling and tracking
• mass spectrometer operation and maintenance
• data processing, storage and reporting
• pipeline automation

My training is in biology, but I wrote my first computer program at the age of 5, long vefore I knew anything about biology! I use R, Perl, Python, PHP and Javascript on a regular basis, and will use anything else necessary also.

At the moment, I'm learning about 64 bit os dev in asm for fun, with the aim of writing a basic os in a hex editor, just to be different!
