My first foray into programming properly was with UE4's Blueprints back in October 2016 but I ended up finding that confusing as hell, so I decided to buckle down and attempt to learn C++ from Bjarne Stringsoup's 'Programming: Principles and Practices' Second Edition. Which went well until I started trying to learn SDL, which while not confusing, was giving something of a cognitive overload. Around November, I've stumbled upon Jason R Brigg's wonderful 'Python for Kids' and have since been messing with Python (using the Kivy GUI).
