My hobby grew from messing around with databases (Rapidfile, Q&A, Paradox, Access) to track sales of my artwork, to learning HTML to create a website for a university financial aid office, to creating and administering artist websites with various fun tools (Wordpress, DreamWeaver, HTML, and a free Microsoft website builder whose name I don't remember), to eventually becoming a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application developer (Pega, HTML, JavaScript) for large corporations and a bank or two, to managing developers and analysts in an application development group for a corporation in the financial industry, to managing projects on a scrappy team at a university and making Excel and Google Sheets do cool things.
