I have been paid to do something between writing code and managing Linux boxes since 1998, when I first join a company developing Geographic Information Applications (had a map, you clicked on parts of it and you got a window with information about that object).

After that I worked in a bunch of small companies for a couple of years, made my time in 3 of the Portuguese portals (www.sapo.pt, www.iol.pt and www.clix.pt), and have been in booking.com since 2010 where I have the job title of Senior Developer.
