I've been building web applications in various forms for 15 years. My primary tool of choice is Perl, and love using the features available to modern Perl programmers like Catalyst, DBIx::Class, Moose and others. My experience has primarily been building backend services, but I'm also comfortable with HTML/CSS/Javascript. I've been doing a lot more work on the frontend to round out my skills, and love the power that comes from crafting a good UI.

Everything I build is backed by a datastore of some kind. I've worked with Postgresql (preferred), mysql, memcached and Redis.

I live in Sydney, Australia with my wife and daughter.
