I am an electrical design engineer running my own MEP design consultancy. I spend a lot of time using computer software for my job. My engineering background makes me naturally curious about how things work and this includes wanting to understand computer coding and web applications.

I have a particular interest in Python, HTML/CSS and have some experience with C# & XAML.

I have been teaching myself coding for perhaps a year now just by reference to information on the internet and after some learning curve have now emerged with a good understanding of how to make code work.

I spend probably 2 hours each day on the train practicing and and extending my coding skills by just trying to build small applications. I have at least one engineering idea that I would like to ultimately write some code for as a full application.
