The 1997 Paris NATO summit was a summit held for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The summit was held in Paris, France. This summit was the 14th NATO summit to bring world leaders from NATO together.

Background and discussion

This summit mainly focused on NATO–Russia relations.[1] NATO and Russia signed the NATO–Russia Founding Act which provided a guideline and plan for the future relationship between NATO and Russia.[2][3]
